Little Artists /Ages 4-7/ Level 1 Students will explore colours, shapes, lines and texture through painting, drawing, clay work etc.They will learn how to create art using everyday objects and different artist styles. Level 2&3 An introduction to representational drawing. Children master the ability to recognize the elements of shape and combine them in drawing animals, characters and still life. As well they will learn to create simple cartoons out of basic shapes. Drawing & Sketching/ Ages 7-12/ Level 1 Introduction to the fundamentals of drawing: perspective, dimension, light, shading technique etc. Projects include the still life, 3D objects, animal, catooning, the human form, class mural as well various artists and art periods. Level 2 A further exploration of drawing based on studies of 3D objects, photographs, the human form. Students will expand their knowledge of dimension, perspective, colour . Introduction to nature, landscape drawing and sculpting. Mixed Media /Ages 8 +/  Express yourself while learning new technique using a variety of mediums. Explore activities such as painting, drawing, collage and sculpture. Cartooning /Ages 7-12/ This course will ignite student's imagination into creating original comic strips and comic books. Learn to draw animals, people expression, action, composition and backgrounds as well they will be introduced to the concepts of layout and story boarding techniques.   Portfolio Preparation / Ages 13+/ This course is aimed at students who intend to apply for a foundation course and will focus on the major areas that  should be represented in an applicant's folder   Private Art Lessons / All ages/ Private lessons focus on accomodating individual needs and expectations.The pace of lessons is driven by the student's ability and desire to learn.    Summer Art Classes Jungle Adventure Ages: 4 - 7 years Structure: 5 consecutive days, 1 hour daily Features: The summer art program takes children on an imaginary jungle journey where they will explore a wide variety of exotic animals. Create your own friendly animal mask using animal print paper, fabric, fur textures, and other fun materials. Construct an animal sculpture and model habitat among other fun jungle art projects. Arts and crafts will be used to create pieces that will bring our animals to life. Activities will include work in painting, sculpture, drawing, with an emphasis on the use of colour and texture in our projects to make each animal come alive. You will be guided through the elements and principles of design that are essential to creating collage. Mix, match, cut and paste your way to intriguingly individual designs.
