Dance Class Descriptions
Toddler Dance-This fun class is for toddlers along with Mom or Dad.The teacher guides the parent/tot team in a way that makes discovering movement, balance and listening skills easy and fun. This class is an excellent first group activity.
Kindergarten Dance -is an introduction to dance.The goals of Kindergarten Dance are to foster creativity, freedom and expression in movement, and a love for dance.In this class we explore the basic elements of dance: levels, shapes, time, force, space, etc. This class implements fun and games, as well as some basic dance technique. Kids will be introduced to the elements of jazz, ballet, hip hop and tap.
Jazz Hip Hop - This is one of the most popular classes in the school. This beginner program allows students to take the 2 most popular forms of dance in one class. The jazz/hip hop class teaches fundamental jazz steps and combines the elements of hip hop moves and contemporary music.Students learn the necessary elements of jazz which are crucial to success in hip hop, but also get to learn hip hop moves which require the coordination and balance learned from jazz.
Tap Classes - Our schools do not start children in tap until the age of 6. Tap requires a great deal of coordination and can be a challenging style of dance.
Ballet – explore the grace and beauty of ballet. The classes offered begin with pre-primary ballet for children aged 5 and older, primary for children aged 7 and older, grade 1 ballet ages 8-10 and so on. For kids ages 3-5 we offer Princess Ballet class.
ZumbAtomic:Designed exclusively for kids (ages 4-12), classes are a rockin', high-energy fitness-parties packed with specially choreographed, kid-friendly routines and all the music kids love to groove to in a group, like hip-hop, reggaeton, cumbia and more.
Zumba Fitness:feature exotic rhythms like salsa, merengue, cumbia and samba set to sexy Latin and international beats. Before you know it, your abs, arms and thighs are toned up and their energy level is soaring! It's easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating.
Adult Classes: Modern- combination of jazz, ballet and hip hop and ballroom.
